In the SEAD, the police stopped the activities of the workshop for sewing and selling textiles with illegal use of the trademarks of famous brands of sportswear. This was announced by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk. According to her statement, finished products were sold on the territory of trade and fair complexes. On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Art. 180 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Police officers seized about 9,000 copies of counterfeit textile products. The damage caused to the copyright holder is about 7 million rubles. The organizers of the illegal business were two newcomers from a neighboring country.
